Thirteenth edition of the festival, dedicated to audiovisual performing arts.

INFLUX is an interdisciplinary festival of new scenic trends where video and the digital world are used as a fundamental tool for artistic expression.

INFLUX wants to promote the work of visual artists, musicians, poets, dancers, performers and scenic creators who, starting from different contemporary languages, use the interdisciplinary nature of video and the possibilities of digital environments and interactive systems to develop their stage projects.

The artists participating in this edition of INFLUX are Jørgen Teller / Mark Cunningham / P.O. Jørgens, Joan Vinuesa and Miquel Jordà, Bastian Iglesias & Eduardo Filippi, Maria Sevilla and Eloi el Bon Noi.

INFLUX focuses on local creators, linked to the city of Barcelona and by extension to Catalonia, but is also open to the possibility of bringing artists from abroad that due to their relevance and being little known here may be of interest to the audience and the local scene.

INFLUX wants to be a stable platform that gives projection to many creators who move in the border spaces that appear with the crossing of new expressive formats. A festival like this helps to provide a more complete view of the diversity of contemporary creation.

Tanker Blue  (premiere)

Image: Jørgen Teller

On a ferry from Pireaus to Aegina I had a vision of tankers. I remembered there used to be many more parked there before ending their lives as scrap . Now it was a more trimmed selection, especially one with the word CAPITAL on it’s side that nailed it. In my vision – suddenly seen from a tanker – the world is run by tankers – they keep us both dry of oil and cash. They laugh at us who live on the shore. A power game. As seen from the blue desert.

From this I conceived a video in 3 parts; In one my paintings appear in a lighthouse rotating flash coming out of dark blue. In another a series of tankers from the danish Øresund pass by in daylight, and finally a scene from a harvested field with friends carrying tanker-like objects across the screen. Filmed by Jørgen Teller and edited in  dialogue with his son Sixten Kallmoes.

JOAN VINUESA & MIQUEL JORDÀ

Llàstics 24  (premiere)

Image by Miquel Jordà of a piece by Joan Vinuesa

When an artist inhabits the same studio for a lifetime, an invisible phenomenon occurs: the four walls cease to be a mere container and transform into the artwork itself. But what becomes of the space when time is interrupted? Today, Joan Vinuesa is forced to leave his lifelong studio, swept away by the relentless tide of urban gentrification. Faced with the encroachment of concrete and the market, an inevitable question arises: is it possible to grant a reprieve from eviction when the subject being displaced is not merely a property, but a living artistic legacy?

Joan Vinuesa. A painter, poet, and singer-songwriter born in Barcelona. A cultural creator and catalyst, he has participated in and organized numerous poetry recitals and exhibitions at a wide range of venues across Barcelona. His body of work includes nine books and three CDs of poetry set to music.

Miquel Jordà. A multidisciplinary artist with a background in music, he works across a broad creative spectrum, including musical composition and performance, video art, installations, sound art, photography, and poetry.

Direction: Miquel Jordà & Joan Vinuesa
Music, video, performance: Miquel Jordà
Poetry, performance: Joan Vinuesa

BASTIAN IGLESIAS & EDUARDO FILIPPI

Lux Futura

Image by Edu Filippi & Bastian Iglesias

Lux Futura is an audiovisual performance by Bastian Iglesias and Eduardo Filippi in which theremin, body and expanded cinema interact in real time. Iglesias transforms movement into sound through frequency and optical theremins, while Filippi manipulates three 16mm projectors using motors, glass, lenses and mirrors, turning projection into a living instrument. Both languages meet within a shared dramaturgy of sound, light and movement. The piece adapts to each space, making every performance a unique and unrepeatable experience.

Bastian Iglesias and Eduardo Filippi develop their artistic research across music, body, cinema and audiovisual experimentation. Iglesias is a musician, composer, performer and multidisciplinary artist specialising in new approaches to theremin performance, with work presented in Madrid, Berlin, Ibiza and the UK. Filippi is a Barcelona-based experimental filmmaker researching the materiality of analogue and expanded cinema. A lecturer at ESCAC, ESDI and EINA, he received a Barcelona Crea grant to develop a multiple 16mm projector. Lux Futura emerges from the encounter between their respective practices.

Bastian Iglesias: frequency theremin, optical theremin, keytar ch101, noisebox
Eduardo Filippi: three 16mm projectors modified with electromechanical alterations

MARIA SEVILLA y ELOI EL BON NOI

Ni una o l’oposada flor (premiere in Barcelona)

We are always born into a language. We are always born defined by the parameters of the linguistic code we inherit, and this makes language both our condition of possibility and our curse: the limits of our language are the limits of our world. But then, what happens in contexts of language contact? What happens when we interact with non-human animals whose thresholds of what is visible, of what is audible… differ from our own?

A performance based on texts from the poetry collection Ni una o l’oposada flor (Arrebato Libros, 2026) by Maria Sevilla Paris, translated on stage into musical, visual, mechanical and animal languages through the juxtaposition of codes proposed by the musician and live coder Eloi Isern, aka Eloi el Bon Noi.

Maria Sevilla Paris, Badalona (1990). She is a researcher and lecturer in Catalan language and literature at the University of Barcelona, and also works as a poet and spoken-word performer. She has published four poetry collections and a chapbook: Dents de polpa (2015), Kalàixnikov (2017), if true: false; else: true (2020), Plastilina (2021), La nit ovípara (2024), and Ni una o l’oposada flor (2026). She is also the author of an essay: No desitjaràs els béns del proïsme (2024). She has experimented with liminal genres such as sound poetry and video-recitals, presenting her work at numerous national and international festivals. Since January 2019, she has been one of the three programmers for the Horiginal poetry series.

Eloi el Bon Noi, Barcelona (1979). He is a live coder, musician, and creator of hieroglyphs. He has participated in numerous artistic events using code creatively and also conducts workshops, talks, and lectures on live coding. He forms a duo with visual artist Turbulente for the show Show us the screen. He has also created spoken-word and live-coding pieces with writer Eloy Fernández Porta and poet Miriam Reyes. He has participated in various poetry and music festivals, such as LEM, Mutek, Influx, Poesia i +, Ex Abrupto, and Eufònic. He takes pride in being able to execute his work using his own resources.
