2023 residencies call-out results
As we received around 250 proposals for the Antic Teatre residencies, the selection process has been a real challenge. The wide range of proposals and the unique and interesting characteristics of each one, the stage each process was at and the parameters that define theatre meant our curatorship unfolded under intense discussion.
The Cascades curatorship team is grateful for all the participants’ work and for how their dedication and honesty has contributed to the enrichment of live arts. It’s been extremely gratifying to view the panorama that you’re creating between you. We see edginess, commitment, new areas of interest, risk. We feel fortunate in having seen your work.
The companies finally chosen are: Luiz Felipe Lucas with his piece “No estamos ahí o la presencia de la ausencia”; Malén Iturri with “Crura”; Carlota Grau Bagès with “Tsunami or something’s gonna happen tonight” and PORNOTOPIAcollective with “g0-g0”. Many thanks to all of you for your dedication in this call-out. Many thanks to Antic Teatre for making it possible.

ANTIC TEATRE OPENS THE 1ST CALL FOR ARTISTIC CREATION AND PRODUCTION RESIDENCIES IN 2023
THE SELECTION OF PROPOSALS WILL BE CURATED BY STUDY GROUP CASCADES
Antic Teatre is opening a public call to offer four artistic creation and production residencies over four different periods in 2023.
The objective of the call is to provide coproduction support to projects by artists/collectives whose work is based on experimentation and research in the field of contemporary performance arts.
Each residency will take place over a period of two weeks, with four presentations in the theatre at the end of the second week (Thursday through Sunday) as part of Antic Teatre’s general programme.
We’re looking for local, national or international proposals that fit the specifications.
