p de carn is a performance based on contemporary catalan poetry. A transdisciplinary performance as a result of scenic experimentation. Poetry and prose illustrating a map and a geography of what are the great voids, fights and fears of our contemporaneity. We try to research new theatrical and sound languages to share live poetry beyond the usual poetic recitals.
Live creation without pretensions to talk about a non-time and a non-place, traveling through the forcefulness, beauty and phenodescriptions of poetic material to enter and discover its essence. How do the words sound? How are the textures performed? And smells? Which rhythms have they?
La Tropical is an artistic company formed and created by the actress, singer and dancer Elena Tarrats, the musician and transdisciplinary artist Bru Ferri and the director and dramatist Martí Sancliment with the aim of sharing research and artistic creation. p de carn is the first performance of this company.
Independently, this year 2019 Elena Tarrats has participated in productions such as Maremar of cia. Dagoll Dagom or the play Jerusalem, under the direction of Julio Manrique in addition to the duo Lico y Pery with Marc Vilajuana. Bru Ferri has published this year his homonymous album, Bru Ferri, and develops the Outkid project with voice and percussion together with Rodrigo Hernández. Martí Sancliment has presented this year his play Estampar a la terra and currently prepares the performance Llengua de Babel with the choreographer Maria Salarich.
