A cycle by Poderosa
Curators: Mònica Muntaner and Beatriz Fernández

Vientos is a sound and visual experience where everything happens thanks to moving air. It is a musical piece for voices and fans, a choreography of the wind. In this iteration, the piece presents in its most rudimentary form: sound, stripped of other performance elements, thus proposing new ways of relating to the wind. This exercise in simplification is part of the Especies en extinción cycle, within Hacer Historia(s), as a strategy for artistic survival. Vientos is part of the research project La excitación del paisaje which seeks to generate a sensitive and conceptual vibration in our contemplation of landscapes.

Born in 1985 in Avilés, Asturias, Óscar Bueno Rodríguez is trained in music (piano), dramatic arts (ESAD Asturias), and holds a Master’s in Performance Practice and Visual Culture (UCLM and Museo Reina Sofía). His practice is in constant flux between the musical, the choreographic, and the visual. He has developed research frameworks such as Sonidación and La excitación del paisaje, where he explores sound as a generator of landscapes and modes of perception. He has also developed educational and collaborative projects and worked with artists such as Cuqui Jerez, María Jerez, Anto Rodríguez and Cris Blanco, among others.
