Queuing – an imposed break in our daily lives. Suspended time, non-time; an everyday action that places our body in a very specific state, forces us to stop and wait, and positions us in conditions of power or vulnerability depending on the context and the purpose of the queue.
Fent cua / Waiting in line (working title) is a new project by Urša Sekirnik and Joana Serra, a participatory performance that takes inspiration from the action of queueing and puts the audience’s experience at the centre of the research.
Urša Sekirnik graduated from SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance) in 2011 and currently works as a creator, performer, dancer and teacher. She is the co-founder of KUD NUM, a multidisciplinary artistic collective based in Škofja Loka, Slovenia and has been part of the La Visiva team since 2019.
