Making sounds in the middle of a catastrophe is a little poetic, and a little moving and yet obsolete at the same time.
Part I: Inspired by a chorus of women’s voices from Havana.
Part II: Skin is perfect for making drums.
Part III: Dance music for ghosts.
Part IV: Requiem. Death’s not so bad but it goes on for ever.
Trilaphon is a collective of musicians, visual artists and performers. It started during the 2020 lockdown when Rodolfo, Manel and Juan began sharing an audiovisual creation process via Internet. The files kept multiplying and it wasn’t long before the idea spread to other artists keen on experimenting with sound and image.
Trilaphon comprises an international line-up who continue to share music, data, breath, chords, files, instruments, cables, distance, doubts, frequencies… In 2021 the Trilaphon artists got together in person at The Wall Records to present their first streamed concert.
The concert at Antic Teatre, Barcelona will be their first encounter with a real, live audience.
