A body in space dancing from beginning to end. A voice-over by someone who observes and analyses the body that moves, the body that dances, and who dives into the body, into the person, to share all the vicissitudes of his life that have brought him before us, moving in a unique way. Starting from the strictly physical to reach something that transcends the body.
The proposal aims to set out a vision from the body and through the body, with the awareness that it is important that this vision – along with many others – should exist, at a time when the tendency is to go towards a single vision.
It’s a celebration of body, movement and dance.
Sergi Fäustino has been one of the essential creators of the national contemporary scene since the premiere of Nutritivo in 2002. His research on the body, fatigue and physical limits continuously traverses his work of the last 10 years with a depth, commitment and coherence difficult to find in the current panorama and for that reason, extremely valuable. Sergi has gone through many stages as a creator, has presented his work in Radicals Lliure, in the schedules and projects of La Porta Barcelona, at Portugal’s Citemor festival, and at El lugar sin limites of the CDN. As a creator, he has evolved, deepened and clarified his lines of interest to obtain a distillation that goes far beyond form or style: an ethical positioning as creator.
