THIS PIECE, WHICH UNDERMINES ITSELF IN ITS VERY TITLE, IS A CATALOGUE, A GAME, A CON, A FIERCE CRITIQUE OF TODAY’S BULIMIC AND SUPERFICIAL CONSUMERISM, AN EXPERIMENT IN SPACE AND TIME, A PIECE THAT USES THE QUESTIONING MECHANISM TO EXIST, A PISSTAKE, PURE POETRY, A TRICK, A PROPOSAL IN WHICH NO ONE KNOWS WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN. IT’S A PERFORMANCE WHERE WE TALK ABOUT: accumulation, consumerism, the passage of time, the poetic and political dimensions to everyday actions, pleasure, degrowth, relationships, improductivity, the absurdity of the everyday, chance as the driving mechanism for life, presence, the spectacular.

PALOMA CALLE. My artistic creativity comes from a hybrid, changeable place somewhere between live arts, visual arts, activism and education.
My aim is to use my artistic practice to stimulate thinking based on doing, the body, from the physical and the subjective. I use alienation and pain, as well as autobiography, music and questions as working tools. I’m looking to legitimate knowledge and wisdom acquired in ways unconnected to more traditional or academically understood research.
My focus comes from an intersectional, feminist, heterodissident perspective.
Since 2006, I have created more than twenty pieces in collaboration with various festivals, theatres or art centres in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
