COMIDA is a staged installation, without formalities or frontality… at first glance perhaps only a table full of books that is constantly changing, on which we place objects, actions and food in a digressive and casual manner.
At various peak points, the change accelerates and becomes more active, and everything turns into a kitchen, or a meal, or a party, just like in someone’s house… a day-to-day situation in a group setting, in constant effervescence. With the idea of being together, of sharing knowledge and of thinking that perhaps the conversation is much more interesting than our initial starting point; perhaps it’s all just an atmosphere, a way to spend time… slowly.
Nyamnyam is a platform and a space created in 2012 by Iñaki Álvarez and Ariadna Rodríguez. Nyamnyam aims to promote creativity, the exchange of knowledge and culture by creating and sharing strategies to generate dialogue. We use artistic tools to design collective actions that create horizontal relationships, which place everybody on the same level of action. We create a link between diverse forms of art, using food as a vehicle to create situations that invigorate relations and social contact between people. We aim to learn new ways of creating synergies that can reactivate or rethink our ways of living, creating and eating.
