Tesseract gives meaning to the purest essence of circus: making something extraordinary from something ordinary. Visually compelling, this never-before-seen technique keeps us on the edge of our seats with impossible feats of equilibrium.
We enter a world where objects and the performer himself are in a constant struggle against gravity; a genuine challenge to Newton. Had Newton seen this show it would have taken him ten more years to come up with his theory (unless one of the cubes had fallen on his head).
In the Tesseract universe ephemeral sculptures are put together and taken apart like Tibetan mandalas, creating instant architecture on stage.
Nacho Flores studied IT and many years later went to live in Amsterdam where he discovered circus. And, after a long journey during which he trained at Carampa school, with Mar Navarro and Lecop, in Buenos Aires, Moscow and Toulouse, he decided to create and research his own technique.
Allessandro Angius is a musician. With 10 years of experience as a sound and lighting technician, he has devoted himself exclusively to circus for the past three, giving him a particular feel for its essence and movements, both in small top shows and big theatre events.
Anaé, whose parents are musicians and comedians, was born into performance. She graduated from ENSAIT. Her curiosity about different theatrical practices led her to work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal de Luxe in France and in opera and ballet with the Lyon, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Rouen operas and the Aix en Provence opera festival.
