Adrià Sarquella –Musaranyes
–New body languages–
In a dark, enclosed space, a faulty light becomes the focal point of an apparently everyday action. The attempt to reach a destination turns into a journey full of detours, doubts, repetitions and distractions. The body keeps going, makes mistakes and retreats, while the ladder ceases to be a mere tool and becomes an obstacle, a refuge or a boundary. As the action unfolds, a presence disrupts the journey and leads it towards unexpected memories and spaces. Through dance and physical theatre, the piece transforms an everyday gesture into a physical and poetic journey about losing one’s way and trying to find it again.
Adrià Sarquella is a physical theatre actor and social educator. His artistic work builds on a constant exploration of the body as an expressive and political tool. His work juxtaposes movement with a critical and transformative spirit, creating performance spaces that invite reflection and an active experience on the part of the audience. He trained in contemporary dance at the Celrà Municipal Dance School and furthered his studies in physical theatre at the MOVEO school in Barcelona, specialising in Decroux’s technique of dramatic mime.

Matilda Deidda – Como un collar de perlas
–New body languages–
Is it true that there is such a thing as ‘doing it right’ and ‘doing it wrong’?
An elegant, seemingly perfect woman finally needs to rid herself of the pearl necklace she has worn all her life and which is now choking her, taking her breath away.
What will happen when the pearl necklace breaks?
What happens if we stop acting the way others want us to and allow ourselves to embrace our authenticity?
A duet combining dance theatre and physical theatre that explores the fear of making mistakes and failing to live up to expectations, the illusory pursuit of perfection, and the refuge found in a routine that shields us from the uncertainty of the future.
Matilda Deidda, a physical theatre actress and dancer, trained in modern and contemporary dance at Moviment’Arti (Tempio Pausania), developing an interest in dance theatre and sensory theatre. In 2022, she graduated in set and costume design from NABA in Milan. Between 2023 and 2026, she specialised in physical theatre and dramatic mime at the MOVEO Centre in Barcelona. She currently works as an actress and assistant to the film director Salvatore Manca (The Man of Trees, winner of first prize at the London Eco Film Festival, and E.K ErdKinder), whilst also appearing in music videos by international artists such as Paolo Fresu, Omar Sosa and Saffronkeira. Matilda is a co-founder of the physical theatre collective Maremotus, established alongside AndreiaSimões and Emily Briggs in 2025.
