Let’s talk about forgetting. About our capacity to store, in the hidden compartments of our subconscious, events, dates and anecdotes that we don’t want to remember and that make us trip over the same stone (or piece of seaweed in this case) hundreds of times, making history repeat itself over and over again.

We survive in a liquid environment, said Zygmunt Bauman. Everything slides out of reach; we think and hide in an apparently stable false society that floats in a watery medium, while everything slips from our grasp. Everything is encouraged by a “society of forgetting” where what isn’t remembered is not important, and we are led inevitably to making the same mistakes.

Based on the expression “memory like a fish” we undersign the concept of “Selective Alzheimer’s” as a name for this control via forgetting.

Proyectos Poplíteos consist of Isaac Torres (Performance artist) and Deif Vila (Performer and visual artist). The group emerged in 2010 and has since then taken part in national festivals such as “Escena Contemporánea” and “Elx al carrer”, as well as international festivals such as “Rifiut Arte” in Rieti, Italia.
Their current projects are El Carnero, Mearruinas, En di-recto y Polvo and they also take part in several national exhibitions.

Isaac Torres and Gloria March (Actress and musician) together form Los Anacolutos. Since 2007 they have continuously been creating and performing at national and international venues, with performances on British tours and in Dutch and German theatres. Small Café is their best-known piece.
