Based on the body of work of Canvi d’aires (Premi Arts Visuals Casa Elizalde 2019), nyamnyam proposes a performative screening where the audiovisual material activates possible peripheral actions and installations. In this way, a window is opened to observe the length of a film that isn’t structured with a linear narrative, but rather invites each viewer to combine a multiplicity of stories and environments. In this way, progression is not pre-established; each person decides where to place their body, their gaze, or what the next scene is. Sakhelu presents a living, organic and changing place to narrate a dynamic journey through different geographies in which landscape, territory, memory, upbringing or future weave an unstable and indefinite space.
Nyamnyam is a space and platform created in 2012 by artists Iñaki Álvarez and Ariadna Rodríguez. Pooling their formations and deformations in various disciplines, their work aims to promote creation, diffraction, and knowledge exchange through sharing strategies on each g-local context in which they work. In this crossroad of live arts, critical thought, pedagogy and social interaction, they create interventions to activate each context’s fabric in a holistic sense, incorporating organisms (human scale and others), systems, environments, relationships and so on… They have carried out and shared their projects in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Norway, Greece, USA, Colombia and Ecuador.
This is the seventh edition of INFLUX festival [ video on stage ] that, once again, collaborates with Antic Teatre to promote artists who use video and digital media as an integral aspect of artistic expression in their stage proposals. The festival includes works by visual artists, musicians, poets, dancers, performers or theatrical creators who work in the in-between and hybrid spaces. INFLUX aims to provide visibility for local creators from Barcelona and Catalonia and wants to help display the diversity that exists in contemporary creation.
