Poison Ivy
Click on the image to view the trailer of the performance
Poison Ivy is an immersive performance where the audience engages in dialogue with artificial intelligence. Words generate landscapes, emotions shape the stage, and the electrical impulses of real plants shape the growth of virtual plants. It is an immersive and participatory installation/dance-performance project that combines on-site action with digital action and audience interaction within an immersive virtual environment powered by artificial intelligence. The digital space is a 3D environment where hypernatural evolving plants coexist with other data unrelated to the landscape; these are dynamic images showing the results of prompts submitted by the audience to an artificial intelligence system. This creates an immersive, changing, and hybrid digital environment, providing references of digitally modified nature.
Kònic Thtr&lab is an artistic platform dedicated to contemporary creation at the crossroads of art, science, and new technologies. Kònic Thtr develops artistic projects inspired by the ways of representing and understanding the body in our highly technological society, using the languages of choreography and digi-dramaturgy. An innovative and reference project in the Catalan artistic scene that, since the early 1990s, has been presenting artistic works in performing and visual arts, grounded in research and development. Kòniclab is the structure for research, experimentation, and development of technological tools that find their application in Kònic Thtr’s interactive projects, such as interactive devices, mobile applications, and ad hoc software for networked composition. Rosa Sánchez and Alain Baumann are the driving forces behind the conceptual, creative, and technological direction of Kònic Thtr&lab.

QBRNTHSS + !ME
Resonant Patterns: Breath and Code
Click on the image to view the trailer of the performance
Resonant Patterns: Breath and Code is a live performance that explores how algorhythmic creation (live coding) can interact with and expand physical sound practice using acoustic instruments to generate hybrid and dynamic sound environments. The application of patterns – to both electronic and acoustic sources – opens new forms of collaboration between code, sound and gesture. Twining into the soundscape are live projected video loops, sequences acting as repetitive yet mutable material, reflecting patterns of everyday life and textures of urban environments. The images and the code are articulated into a narrative running parallel to the sound patterns, providing a material and documentry dimension to the performative experience. Live coding’s principle of sharing the interpreter’s screen and so the very processes of creation challenges the common narratives of authorship and ownership inherent to the art industry.
QBRNTHSS (pronounced ‘quebrantahuesos’) is Ramon Casamajó, a musician with a lengthy trajectory on many projects, all of which stand out for their innovative and experimental character, and a member of different cultural collectives and initiatives. He has performed both nationally and internationally and has produced music for artistic installations and short films. His latest released work is Disorder (Empty6Pack, Rotten/Trash, 2025).
Diego Suárez a.k.a. !ME(NOTme) is an audiovisual artist moving between photography, video art and programming, which has led him to investigating with algorhythmic videos and generative, reactive and interactive visuals such as elements of live cinema, live coding and liquid light (visuals created using liquids and inks live). He collaborates providing live visuals for several music bands and all kinds of other artists (experimental electronica, dance, interactive theatre, etc.) and has shown his work at a range of festivals and events worldwide.

ORLANDO WHALES
ALADDIN: El despertar de Shiva
Image: Xavier Julià. Click on the image to view the trailer of the performance
ALADDIN: El despertar de Shiva, rather than a stage piece, is a contemporary shamanic ritual that crosses myth to enter the fire of desire. Inspired by One Thousand and One Nights and Ramón del Valle-Inclán’s The Lamp of Marvels. Aesthetic Meditations, and infused with Eastern mysticism and the cosmogonic figure of Shiva, the piece questions our deepest passions in a sensorial and narrative journey. Orlando Whales drives the action with a raw and minimalist performance, accompanied by the devotional singing of Almudena Vega, the vocal and electronic textures of Edgar Cueto, and the psychedelic video projections of Sonia Vera. An experience beyond theatre. A ritual of transformation.
Orlando Whales is a non-dual stage artist who creates at the intersection of theatre, dance and ritual. His language fuses body, symbol and mythic narratives, deconstructed from the personal into collective, political and existential dimensions. Avant-garde and archaic, masculine and feminine, sacred and profane: his work is a paradoxical synthesis of diverse philosophical and artistic currents, with body and imagination as the core of transformation on stage.
In ALADDIN: The Awakening of Shiva he is joined by Almudena Vega, singer and scholar of Hinduism, one of Spain’s leading Kirtan voices; Edgar Cueto, a multidisciplinary artist blending voice, electronics and stage experimentation; and Sonia Vera, visual creator and stage technician with international experience.

Primo Gabbiano + Visual Pal
rau-rau (Premiere in Barcelona)
Image: Antonio Clavijo Victori. Click on the image to view the trailer of the performance
rau-rau is a show combining body, sound and video. It postulates a possible intersection between experimental electronica and visuals with dream-like, para-narrative tendencies. The performance contains an elevated degree of improvisation that is open to performance and spoken word. The mise-en-scene works as an artistic installation: a space is created where each element explores its plastic expressivity and its affinities. rau-rau could also be seen as a performative concert.
Visual Pal is a visual artist from Barcelona. Her artistic career has been developed in the creation of videographic pieces, audiovisual installations and, mostly, live events as a visual artist. She collaborated on video-dance exhibition Contradansa (Antonio Clavijo, 2012) and has taken part in various festivals and contemporary art fairs (Art Centre La Panera, Bruckstock Festival, CACIS, Intramurs, etc.). Her video piece Vidi Well Brother was selected for the CCCB’s Pantalla Global cycle. As a visual artist, she has had the opportunity of collaborating with the visuals for experimental music, theatre and performance ensembles. She has released records in which she explores the visual possibilities of spoken word and soundscapes. She is a co-organiser for the Andròmina, cicle d‘experiències diferents festival and curated the Ponts de Llum (Manresa) contemporary arts festival as well as the H · Arte Experimental y Comunidad · in Monistrol de Calders. She was president of the Central Catalonia Visual Artists Association (AAVCC in its Catalan acronym).
Primo Gabbiano. Antonio Clavijo Victori is a performer, musician and visual artist from Barcelona. He has been the guitarist and composer for krautrock and rock bands. Under the artistic name Primo Gabbiano he explores the more experimental side of music, using soundscapes, noise, ambient and primitive electronica. As a visual artist he has created the audiovisual material for the various bands he was part of, as well as a dozen short films and video art pieces. In 2012, his video dance project Contradansa won first prize at the Taula de les Arts Visuals de Manresa. His video works have been selected for a range of international festivals and fairs. He combines his artistic side with directing and presenting weekly radio show La moto de Sasha, which he has done since 2003. In 2013 he premiered his first theatre piece, Rizomaquistelarva, at Antic Teatre. His penchant for theatrical action and happenings has led to collaborations with performers, poets, butoh dancers and film directors. He is currently working on several collaboration projects with artists from Madrid, Portugal, Mexico and the USA. In 2017 he composed the original soundtrack for the film Desierto en tú mente (Marta Grimalt) and in 2019 he showed his itinerant video installation, Book as a Totem, a recognition of videoart as popular art, in public libraries. He is an assiduous collaborator on projects investigating the intersection betwen sound experimentation, other artistic disciplines and traditional culture. He is a founding member of hybrid contemporary art group Fame Chimica, and is also co-director of the EnAct festival, Ciclo de Experiencias Diferentes, Andròmina and H · Arte Experimental y Comunidad · in Monistrol de Calders.
