This is the moment before the catastrophe, when the sea waters retreat, discreetly, in silence. An allegory about the apparent calm that conceals the birth of something else. That hidden universe that exists among us and that stimulates our imaginations to make us speculate on, fear or be fascinated by that which has yet to be revealed. This is TSUNAMI or something’s gonna happen tonight.
A performance creation project that looks into the ways fear modifies our perception of reality. Playing with visuals and sound, using stop-motion animation, subverting the genre of suspense, and introducing the absurd. Weaving through theatre, dance, film, performance, reality and fiction.
