We’re surrounded by real monsters; they’re part of the everyday landscape. Some can be found at work, others are among our friends and family. Because, given the circumstances, anyone can end up becoming a monster. This immersive device takes the form of a performative installation where participants engage anonymously, delving into their own perception and experience of the monstrous.

Do you know how one mutates into a monster?

What about you—are you a monster, or are you infected with monstrosity?

Do you know any monsters? What makes you consider them as such?

Clytemnestra & Assoc. debuts with this first device, seeking new forms of interaction between theatrical fiction and the audience. There are no spectators, only accomplices. Conflicts have been collectivised; everyone is part of the fiction. The ideal spaces to activate these performative devices are a hybrid of the black box, the gallery, and the agora. Clytemnestra is Miquel Àngel F.G. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Dramatic Arts (Stage Direction and Dramaturgy) from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, a Master’s in Theatre Studies from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and participated in the ‘work in progress’ with La Fura dels Baus in Tàrrega, among other achievements.
