The proposal focuses on children’s literature and representation for children from racialised backgrounds: a space to reflect on the importance of aesthetics, textures, colour and narratives within this genre.

7.15 pm – Presagi funest by Eduard Olesti and Adrià Girona. Poetry + art sound (L’Horiginal)

We want the audience to see how poetry rises from its coffin – that is, the book. We want the poetic voice to intertwine with an ironic, electronic soundscape that points out, emphasises and contradicts the word. We bring you a sadness of the sort that’s in vogue these days. As the poet Cesárea Tinajero says, poetry is a taut rope between a lighthouse and a cherry tree. We can do nothing against the bite of silence. Poetry is the piss of a child pissing against the river, the indifferent river of human history.
