La Oscilante speaks about otherness, about moving in unison through the curved and the straight, the linear and the discontinuous, thus revealing the constant vibration of the binary.

Pol Jiménez as dancer and Juan Carlos Lérida directing investigate the binarism of Spanish dance to unravel the possibilities of a genderless dance. In the oscillation between the masculine and the feminine and in the alchemies of steps and poses, new perspectives of the genre appear. They have selected those that transform bodies, and the interpretation and understanding of their movements.

Pol Jiménez, emerging artist from Spanish and Flamenco dance, is always looking for new codes and enigmas of contemporary thought and performance with which to nourish his creations. A graduate in Spanish Dance by the Professional Dance Conservatory of Barcelona in 2013, he represented the Conservatory as choreographer at the 2013 International Assembly in Toronto, organised by the National Ballet School of Canada. Despite his youth, he has had an intense career as both dancer and choreographer, having worked with companies and choreographers such as La Fura dels Baus, Cesc Gelabert, Juan Carlos Lérida and Los Aurora. He has received awards for best dancer from “XXV Premis Butaca” and “Premis de la Crítica de les Arts Escèniques 2018”.
