Three contemporary knightesses tirelessly search for the Holy Grail. Like Sir Percival, these lost and disoriented beings keep trying and failing, and yet they launch themselves indefatigably on a never-ending quest. The key question in all this endeavour is: when you’re searching, what are you really looking for? The value of searching for the Grail is that it’s an impossible quest. Three contemporary detectives seek the mysterious chalice from their office, following the clues provided by the tools of questioning and interrogation, and by means of a live improvisation with no safeguards. Humour runs through the piece, a result of these three not-very-bright individuals’ interaction and the transcendent nature of the case they’re investigating.

Los Detectives is a company headed by Mariona Naudin and María García Vera. Their projects investigate the potential of the stage and its limits to come up with their own language. They are motivated by the desire to link humour, the body and thought to delve into strategies of strangeness that aim to converse with the audience’s intellect and bring into play the capabilities of the performers. To date, they have presented four staged works: Kopfkino (Mercat de les Flors, Barcelona, 2016), Pienso casa, digo silla (Festival Grec, Barcelona, 2019) and Concrete Matter (Dansa Metropolitana, Barcelona, 2022), all three co-produced by Antic Teatre, and Les Chevaliers (2025-2026).
