Major pop stars enjoy a celebrity status that allows them to act as spokespeople for all kinds of causes. Britney Spears has been at the very top and also at the very bottom. This has forged a new Britney: wiser, greater, more human than ever.

Feminismo Pop is a series of staged pieces in which they’re the divas but we decide on the causes.

Leer es Sexy was created in 2013 by Cris Celada and Tomás Castro. To date they have produced seven videos, each lasting between 7 and 12 minutes, containing adapted texts by Virginie Despentes, Colectivo Tiqqun, Valerie Solanas, Michel Foucault, Virginia Woolf and Angela Davis.
This project was presented at El Arco de la Virgen in Barcelona and at C.S.O. La Casa Invisible of Malaga in 2016, and in Madrid’s Swinton & Grant gallery in 2017.

Cris Celada was born and raised in Madrid where she studied education and teacher training at university. Later she trained in several branches of dramatic arts and performance movement as well as dubbing. She then moved to Barcelona where she developed her own theatrical work combining contemporary creations with spoken word performances, café theatre and cabaret. She currently works as an actress in shows by companies she admires (El Conde de Torrefiel, Cristina Blanco) and devises and acts in her own company, El Pollo Campero, comidas para llevar. She is a member of the ARTAS collective of artists associated with La Poderosa in Barcelona.

Tomás Castro was born in 1978 and lived in Madrid from the age of 10, where he studied Communications and Advertising as well as editing and special effects for video, film direction, photography and comic-book art.
He also has five years of classical ballet training to his name, although that was some time ago. He combines a job that pays the rent with the creation of short films, videoclips and storyboards. He attends workshops in theatre, dubbing and elocution.
