Se diría que aquí no pasa nada (It seems that nothing happens here) is an artistic performance from the long-term project Antes de nacer estaba muerto (Before I was born I was dead).

It arises from the idea of trying to stage an awareness of transit through poetry, itself perceived as the art of time, where memory is recalled as the conjunction of that transit. The aim is to stage this awareness and find myself in it.
Essentially, “Se diría que aquí no pasa nada” is based on the concept of the journey and how this “no place” produces a multitude of territories, intensifies our way of looking and tries to reveal the invisible events emerging from our day-to-day existence.

But above and before all it calls us to a daily celebration of the fact that we’re alive.

David Mallols was born in Valencia, where he graduated in Drama and later in Directing and Dramaturgy at the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona. In 2011 he created La Herencia in Barcelona, his first long piece. Since 2012 has he been working on this project, resulting in some video work: de norte y sur (Aproximaciones a la idea de diario. 2013) and actions like Hemisferios (Escenarios del Streaming. 2013).

He also works as an actor or playwright with different artists or theatre companies such as El Conde de Torrefiel.
