The Arab word Farah means dress, while lebs means joy.
Farah-lebs is therefore ‘dress of joy’,
something like ‘a Flamenco animal dressed in Flamenco’.
Flamenco comes from Moorish Arabic.
Felah means farmer, Menkud the marginalised, the excluded,
the person stripped of everything material and everything immaterial.
Felah-Menkud is the person who gave the art of Flamenco its beginning.

Colectivo Lamajara Danza are a collective of artists who share a curiosity about the language of the body and its potential methods of expression. They are choreographers, dancers, cultural managers and collaborators in a range of other artistic disciplines. They work cooperatively, encouraging dialogue and consensus towards a common methodology. Their main objective is to support free artistic expression, helping to produce a free and eclectic creativity.

Colectivo Lamajara Danza carry out investigation, distribution and training. Investigation of the body in its different forms of expression; physical communication developing through play. Distribution of their works, the production of future works and training through practicing shows for every type of audience.

Daniel Rosado was born in Huelva and obtained a degree in Physical Education and Sports from Barcelona University in 2013. He trained at the Reina Sofía Professional Dance Conservatory in Granada. He has worked in France with Taille Unique company (2006-2007), participating in projects with Claude Brumachon, Jean-Claude Gallotta and Bernardo Montet, among others. He was a member of Trànsit Danza (2008-2012) and dancer for the PND (National Dance Production).
