In the early hours of December 24, 1858, a meteorite fell in a barley field near a small town in Murcia. According to reports, the meteorite carried an unusual radiation that affected certain people with the irresistible urge to write, invent stories and create poetry. Coses que cauen del cel (Things That Fall from the Sky) is the story of the documented fact of the fall, mixed with elements of magical realism, told gathered around a brazier whose embers are about to go out. Object theatre, live music, and a good dose of humour, tenderness and folklore are used to discuss the aftermath of an impact, the origin of a personal universe, and the need for fiction and friction in the face of the reality it’s our fate to live in.
