In her microshows Ajo offers us moments in which she grows brevities such as: “I sell small diaries for people with few friends”, Chinese microsotries, microproblems, long-term rhymes or pseudobiographies; because as she says of herself, “don’t test my memory because I come from punk and I wear my mohican on my tongue”.

During her career she has published four books, the first one with La Luz Roja and the other three with Arrebato Libros: Micropoetic Measures (Nowhere Man Press, 2011); Bello Público (La Fábrica 2013) and La Perrina y yo (Espasa 2016).

All these books have sold more than 50.000 copies, and in some cases have been reedited more than ten times, which indicates that Ajo is one of the most read autors in 21st century Spain.

She has presented her work in all manner of settings in Spain, but also in Berlin, New York, Sâo Paulo and Mexico, accompanied by Nacho Mastretta, Corcobado, Tsukiko Amakawa, Paco Soto Ivars, Julieta Venegas, Javier Colis, Don Simon and Telefunken or Judit Farrés, who conduct Ajo’s texts with their music in unique, unrepeatable, live shows.

Her staged performances are a tidemark; she has taken part in the most important festivals and has sold out tickets for most of her microshows.

Accurate and sharp, Ajo continues to search for the centre of permanent brevity where she can create stories and longings.
