In this shared evening of three short pieces the two artists Iris Heitzinger and Manel Salas Palau come together with their respective works “Breve ensayo sobre la nada” and “Imaginarium Frame” after having identified a shared fascination for the power of the present moment and its creative potential in a performance situation. They also join forces for the first time in the shared experience “On how to frame nothing”, a spontaneous meeting in real time composition.

Breve ensayo sobre la nada (Short study on Nothing) is a whole-hearted venture, an experiment between performer and audience. Iris Heitzinger focuses on the present moment and its continued flow towards memory. Her point of departure is an attitude of unintentionality in order to savour each moment in its emergence, presence and passing, and to invite the audience to experience this cycle with her. What remains in our memories are the traces of what has been.

Imaginarium Frame is a solo piece where the audience and performer share a common ground, a common space and a common frame. Performer Manel Salas hosts the encounter between the present moment, the “real”, and the imagined world, where poetry, absurdity, fragility and the power wich appears and allows the audience to travel through the unknown by means of a shared experience. What remains is the painting of emptiness in the frame of our memories.

On how to frame nothing: Imaginarium Frame + Breve ensayo sobre la Nada = On how to frame nothing. The result of a meeting between two artists who depart from their respective artistic universes in order to put into practice and give shape to the present moment with the goal of losing themselves in the unknown.
