This will be the twelfth edition of our Horror and Fantastic Short Film Festival, Antic Horror Picture Show, organised by Antic Teatre. The pre-selected shorts will be screened and the winners will be announced on the same day, with two prizes given: the Jury Award (trophy and €500) and the Audience Award (trophy and €300).

Among the attendees who participate in the vote for the Audience Award, 5 PACKS of DVD’s from the Fullmoon features collection will be raffled off, courtesy of Ediciones 79.

The Carcreatures brand emerged from the toy/doll universe. Using polymer clay, Carlos (born in Cadiz and living in Barcelona) brings us with creations that range from the shadiest characters to the craziest zombifications… and he teaches in-person beginner courses in Polymer Clay at @Consell81.

Psyclops Graphix is a self-publishing studio founded in 2013 by weirdo, cartoon and underground artists Mistress Ratt and Kaiser WatOOn. They edit fanzines and make buttons and other little doodads you’ll find on their stand.


MEMBERS OF THE JURY


VALÈRIA SOROLLA (Barcelona, 1997)
Actress and singer

The poster child for the Antic Horror Picture Show for the last twelve years, she now combines her acting work with a growing interest in performance and sound creation. She has co-directed a piece by collective Matriu.id, starred in Karaoke Elusia by Oriol Puig at Sala Beckett, played Alba in Eduard Cortés’ Moebius series and has just finished filming in her first lead role for sci-fi series Mòpies.


MARC MARTÍNEZ JORDÁN (Calella, 1989)
Director and scriptwriter

Marc graduated from ESCAC specialising in directing. His first three short films, Timothy, Caradecaballo and Tu último día en la Tierra (winners of the Audience Award at different editions of the Antic Horror Picture Show) have been selected more than 500 times at festivals around the world, and received more than 200 prizes at different festivals including Sitges Film Festival, Festival Fantasia, Milano Film Festival and AFI Fest.

He also directed feature film Framed which, after an extensive run at fantasy and horror film festivals, has premiered in countries such as Japan, Germany, Colombia and the USA distributed by Strand Releasing.

He recently co-directed Solución para la tristeza, a short film that will have its world premiere at the prestigious Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas. 


IVÁN LEDESMA (Barcelona, 1977)
Writer and scriptwriter

With more than 20 years of creative work for all kinds of media under his belt, he authored graphic novel La vampira de Barcelona, Negorith (a horror novel which won the Joaquim Ruyra Award) and 184, a novel published by Dolmen Editorial, and scripted children’s sagas Diario de Dan and Dragonxs, published by Ediciones Destino | Planeta de Libros.

He has developed audiovisual projects for production companies and television channels, and has taught courses and workshops in scriptwriting and script analysis, in addition to being responsible for the script of Xtremo, a Spanish action film recently premiered on Netflix. 

He has also composed the soundtrack for several television series, released a dozen records with a variety of bands and created a publisher for apocalyptic role-playing games.
