Recent work in several art ‘forms’ has been referring to the connection with other species, but what is our relationship with those everyday objects and materials that we consider to be inert, or lifeless? In INERT? The space becomes a huge tapestry onto which videos, texts, movement and sound are combined with resignified materials recovered from the storerooms of Antic Teatre. A performative installation to reassess our relationship and interdependence with objects. What if the distinction between subjects and objects was mere fiction, a way to justify the hierarchy of humans over non-humans? How can we relate in more horizontal ways with objects considered to be inert?

Ariadna Rodriguez and Iñaki Alvarez are nyamnyam. Their work is located at the crossroads between performing arts, critical thinking and pedagogies. Uniting their formations and deformations in various disciplines, their work aims to promote creation, diffraction and knowledge exchange, through interaction strategies in each (g)local context in which they work. In 2020 they opened the doors of the ‘espai nyamnyam’ in Mieres, Girona.

Carme Torrent, involved in learning, research and creation processes around the body in relation to the environment. An important part of her experience comes from the field of architecture.
