Konvent and Antic Teatre are two venues dedicated to multidisciplinary performance that use artistic creation and dissemination to encourage innovation and the search for new forms of performative expression.
From independent Barcelona to central Catalonia, from the 26th to the 29th of October, we present KONVENT a l’Antic, a joint programme featuring a variety of artistic manifestations.

Do
(New drama)

Do is the third part of a hybrid trilogy halfway between theatre, performance, a concert and visuals. A trilogy that has developed far from the centres of creation, in the rural surroundings of Berguedà.
Do questions gender perspective in every kind of performance work and, by extension, how it conditions us off the stage. At the same time, we look into the relation between audience and artist, and at cloned and pre-set performance construction models.
Do is a small act of disobedience with a horizontal ending that aims to breach the old paradigms, encourage questions and blur clear answers.

HORMAREKIN HITZ EGIN (Talking to the wall)
(Music-percussion)

We’re going to the fronton court, but with words; we’re going to do pointless things such as hitting boards, the ball hitting the wall, muted sounds, words that are empty or full, it doesn’t matter as nobody is listening….
Just like in Basque pelota, there are two of us, two voices – or not….
This time, we’re going to talk to the wall, and we’re going to listen to its words, which are new, we’re going to open our listening ears to create a constructive dialogue…
There are two pelotari (someone who plays hand pelota), just as there are two playing the (wooden) txalaparta, the txakunes, the harriparta (stone txalaparta), the Stone, the tobera (iron txalaparta).
