Language is a closed source and with this project we wanted to open it to the maximum extent possible. Words have meaning but they also sound. To feel the material aspect of language from the body and with the body. To write and talk with our bodies. With this work we wanted to do something easy, very easy, extremely easy or, let’s say, achievable. We wanted to make a performance asking ourselves how to understand a performance. Basically, a piece about language and meaning – or perhaps the other way round. Hipólito Patón and Vicente Arlandis are based in Valencia, they have worked together for the past several years alongside choreographer Sandra Gómez on different performing projects: Incapacitada para el ejercicio profesional and Frankesteing. At present they are working on a performance project on the topic Conspiranoia that will premiere in 2018.
