Book launch for El verano infinito by Madame Nielsen.

Boy meets girl and they spend long days and nights in her bed, in a large country house. There she lives with her mother, who with long ivory hair rides on horseback at sunset, her younger siblings, and a jealous stepfather who soon disappears and whose absence allows other young people to take up residence in the house until they form an unusual and unlikely group. Among these is a very young Portuguese artist, who becomes the mother’s new lover. Their relationship opens up a magical door for everyone: from everyday life to the “infinite summer”, those lengthy days that live on in memory and that, once gone, stop anything else from ever shining as they did. Madame Nielsen has written a novel both melancholic and ironic; timeless, and yet at the same time unmistakeably contemporary.
