Leos Ator and Jean-Loup Faurat improvise live the soundtrack to L’organisation de la chute (The Organisation of the Fall), a video they created based on Leos Ator’s photographic research.

Forward slashes ( / ) fall on the landscape. Usually, the forward slash is a separating sign that constructs a hierarchy in (organises) information. The fall of a forward slash in the landscape is the reason for and the telling of a rupture, an intrusion in the natural order of things. The forward slash becomes then the emblem of disorder, an intrusion scaled to the landscape.

CHIEN BLEU MORD LE VENT Improvised Mutant Folk duo, consisting of Leos Ator on the mandolin and percussion and Jean-Loup Faurat on guitar.

Leos Ator Multidisciplinary artist, he enjoys metamorphosis and travel. In fact, he’s lived abroad a long time. Sound continues to be one of his favourite vehicles for encounters: he improvises when in good company with words, sounds, notes and silence. But it’s the love of silence that makes him return to images: he’s searching for the place in images from which to access silence. He’s trying to make images the factory of silence, a shared silence, the place for an encounter.

Jean-Loup Faurat Visual artist and musician. Starting from a focus on expressing the visual potential of obsolete devices and technologies, he creates electronic devices that mix sound and video and tries them out in sensitive, perceptive or synesthetic approaches. He plays in Hifiklub, an experimental rock trio. He’s also musician for contemporary dance company Kubilai Khan Investigations. He’s involved in several collaborative projects centred on experimentation and improvised music, notably the duo Chien bleu mord le vent with Leos Ator.

HABITUAL VIDEO TEAM is a non-profit association formed by Lis Costa and Josep M. Jordana, that has as its main objective the promotion of activities related to the visual arts, specifically, video art: www.habitualvideoteam.org.

A fundamental area of their work is the organisation of festivals, cycles and video shows, such as the FLUX Video Auteur Festival: www.fluxfestival.org, and the INFLUX Audiovisual Performing Arts Festival: www.influxfestival.org.

Another area of Habitual Video Team’s activity is video documentation of cultural events mainly related to experimental music and poetry performances. In 2012 they launched the SUMMA project in order to convert this audiovisual heritage (more than 1000 recordings) into a non-profit online video archive: www.summa-hvt.org.
