The Big Bouncers Collective, as part of their site-specific performances, propose a work centered on the relationship between movement, word and space.

The specificity offered by each space serves as a trigger for opening a common vision on which a specific and unique composition is then constructed.

This piece has been created specially around the emblematic space of Antic Teatre, and more specifically around its origins and its different cycles. We look into its history as well as its transformation, the various uses to which it has been put, the people who have inhabited it, its function within the community, its influence on the environment and vice versa, anecdotes and personal memories, outstanding events, etc.

The Big Bouncers Collective are: Anna Rubirola , Cecilia Colacrai and Mireia de Querol.
All three are choreographers living in Barcelona. They currently manage the activities of Associació La Visiva and are part of La Caldera’s new project. They are all choreographers of long standing, working alone or in collaboration with other artists, as well as in teaching. The Collective received Premi Sebastià Gasch award (Aplaudiment a la creació emergent, FAD 2015) for their piece Big Bounce.
They began working together in May 2012, sharing interests and developing a common practice, with the goal of researching and deepening their knowledge in the field of movement and performance, and also of generating their own working methodology. From the beginning of their work as a collective, they have developed three different lines of action: the creation of pieces for stage, the creation of performances for non-conventional spaces (site-specific) and the teaching and formative aspects.

So far their works have been: O.V.N.I (2017), Doppelgänger (2014), I see a spider on the wall (2014), Big Bounce Site Specific (2013), Big Bounce (2013).
