Aurora works cleaning tourist apartments. She likes to do her job well and thoroughly. But the company’s work schedule is tight, and her back aches, and minimum wage and feeling invisible and all the chores left to do when she gets home weigh on her… She begins to feel an irrepressible impulse that makes her constantly repeat a small action – with surreal consequences. Job insecurity in the tourist sector, Mediterranean cities with rampant real estate speculation, choreographies involving synaesthetic visuals, miniatures and performers, are the elements put into play on stage, which structure the script of a feminist narrative constructed live through a tulle screen that exposes, hides and brings together.

ATZUR use various techniques to produce and manipulate live images, creating environments and narratives that converse (and also collide, question, and team up) with music, dance or whatever happens on stage. They’re currently working on their new live film show PLA-DUR. Since 2013 they’ve performed at venues such as Sala Hiroshima (Barcelona), Cicle ArtLab of La Pedrera (Barcelona), Festival Vallsonora (Àger, Lleida), Sound and Visual Exhibition of the Convent de Sant Agustí (Barcelona) and Simbiòtic Festival at Sala Becket (Barcelona), among others.

Rehearsal residency at La Bonne + technical and performance residency at Antic Teatre – Espai de Creació.

This year we’ve introduced performance arts residencies at La Bonne, offering work space to creative women that allows them to create with full logistical, technical and promotional support. The residencies run for three months and end in a public performance in collaboration with Antic Teatre.

We place particular emphasis in supporting companies and projects directed by and at women. The residencies are a way of tackling the difficulties these creators face in finding adequate work and rehearsal spaces in which to develop work that entails risk-taking and innovation in research and the development of new performance languages, new drama (original or adaptations) or collaborative creation, with a horizontal gender perspective.

Centre de Cultura de Dones Francesca Bonnemaison – La Bonne is a place to meet and exchange ideas, and for creating feminist cultural projects; projects resulting from the contributions of all the women taking part or collaborating. La Bonne is an open space for supporting the creation, dissemination and promotion of culture, and for encouraging the participation and prominence of women in cultural creation, providing a space for innovation and a greenhouse for production and exchange.
